Extracurricular activities

Computer science

Students will be divided into age groups to learn about and deepen their knowledge of the digital world, with vector drawing and 3D printing, discovery of coding and the use of IT tools, first steps with AI and search tools, and prevention of web risks. All in a relaxed and motivating atmosphere. This course takes place during the lunch break.

Strategios

Children discover the best techniques for winning at puzzle games such as Power 4, Moulin, Rush Hour, Uno and many others. By exploring the winning strategies of a wide variety of board games, children learn to structure their thinking, to proceed logically and systematically, and to plan game stages.

Chess

Learning the rules of chess and then quickly implementing simple to advanced playing strategies is the aim of this two-level course. Beginner: discover the fundamental principles of chess and enjoy playing with your fellow students. Advanced: analysis and implementation of complex movement sequences to influence your opponent’s game.

Oral expression in English

This course is designed for those who want to practise English in a different way, by creating and performing sketches, or even, for the older ones, by reworking extracts from repertory texts to bring Shakespeare’s language to life. All this in an English-speaking context for one hour.

Robotics

This course leads students to develop programming skills to build and pilot a robotic arm, or to learn how to steer a Timyo robot, through the discovery of the different elements that make up robotics: programming, robot construction, piloting, creation of a control environment and use of AI capabilities. 2 groups: beginners and advanced.

Yoga

This year’s yoga class, so popular with the little ones, takes place during the lunch break, from 1 to 1:45 pm. It’s all about movement, breath, moving animals and discovering pleasant postures that relax or stretch us. Students will have the opportunity to express their creativity and improve their body awareness.

Choir

One hour of group singing, with vocal awakening, voice training, songs from the popular and classical repertoires, so that everyone can sing together. Harmony, solo and choral singing, breathing techniques are all part of this musical workshop that will help everyone discover their voice.

Drawing

Who hasn’t dreamed of improving their drawing technique? For those who want to improve their skills in the various graphic tools and be able to produce personal creations from their imagination, this course is for them. It’s not just for apprentice artists, but for all budding artists. To your brushes!

School Canteen

Hot meals, delivered by a caterer, are offered to students who want them on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays from 11:45 a.m. to 1 p.m. Children are served in rooms set up for this purpose. After finishing their meal, they can play and relax for a while in the outdoor courtyard. We favour seasonal, fresh, eco-labelled, locally-sourced, and organically-grown food. Thus, the products are mainly sourced from Geneva (Genève Région Terre Avenir label), from Switzerland, or alternatively, from the EU (sea fish for instance).

The varied and balanced menus (according to the green fork label of our caterer) are made available to parents here and displayed in the School.
